Goldline Curling
Goldline Curling – Tradition, Innovation, and New Standards in Curling
For decades, Goldline Curling has been one of the defining brands in the international sport of curling, standing for high-quality equipment ranging from entry-level gear to the elite level of the sport. Through the continuous evolution of materials, craftsmanship, and design, Goldline consistently sets new standards—whether for curling brooms, shoes, accessories, or teamwear.
1967: Goldline Curling is Founded
Ed Flowers, an avid curler himself, was the founding father of Goldline Curling.
Initially, the business distributed primarily ice-maintenance equipment, but it soon expanded to include personal curling gear—all operated out of a garage.
Success followed, and in the 1970s, the company moved into a small warehouse facility. Today, with Erin Flowers—Doug Flowers’ daughter—the third generation of the family is active in the business, based in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.
Goldline takes particular pride in the multitude of innovations it has introduced to the sport of curling over the past decades:
- the first gripper in North America
- the first curling trousers designed specifically for the sport
Curling - in Canada part of daily life
2025: Acquisition of Hardline Curling
One of the most significant recent developments has been the strategic evolution of the brand: in 2025, Goldline acquired the innovation leader Hardline, thereby uniting two of the most influential brands in the sport of curling. This merger significantly strengthens Goldline’s position as a leading provider in the curling market and creates an even broader product range for ambitious players.
Thanks to the integration of Hardline, curling players today benefit from a wealth of combined technology and expertise: in particular, the renowned Hardline IcePad systems and high-performance brooms serve as a valuable complement to the Goldline lineup, substantially expanding the selection of modern broom designs. As a result, suitable solutions are now available for every skill level and requirement—catering to everyone from club players to international competitors.
The year 2025 also marked the company’s move into a new, highly impressive warehouse facility, situated directly along the main transportation artery connecting Toronto and Mississauga.
The brand’s dynamism is also evident in its latest product developments: modern carbon and composite brooms, modular head and pad systems, and improved handle technologies ensure optimal control, greater sweeping efficiency, and a tangible boost in performance on the ice. At the same time, Goldline remains true to its philosophy of balancing innovation with fairness within the sport of curling, while actively helping to shape its continued evolution. The leadership team is deeply committed to the sport; one can both feel and see that, for them, curling is far more than just a business.
Today, the product range is more comprehensive than ever before. Whether it is a classic curling broom, a high-end competitive model, or a custom-configurable solution—Goldline offers everything that modern curlers have come to expect.
